How to Run Away

Lucy is a British performance artist, writer and bellydancer with impulsively itchy feet; making hilarious, slightly chaotic but surprisingly poignant theatre.

Her show ‘How to run away’ is the dirty, mucky, sweaty second-cousin of Eat, Pray, Love. Forget meditating for ten weeks on a remote mountain; instead try crying in showers on different continents. Less sun, sea and sex more sweat, dust and lust.

In the show I explore the question……..

Did running away give me a better future?

The show explores the themes of:

Starting a new life abroad, life choices, identity, relationships, failure, chasing dreams, destiny, growth and changing ourselves for the better (or worse?).

I’m so excited to announce that the show has been awarded the Bloomsbury Theatre 2023 New Wave writing award and will be performed at the Bloomsbury Festival, London in October 2023.
